Teen Poetry Competition

Come and get your poetry on! Anthology - Voices of Youth is presenting their 2008 competition. Bring in 3 of your poems to perform with no costumes or props - and you could win a prize. Saturday April 5th, at 1 pm. Downtown Library.

Spring Break Lock In

We're inviting all of the other groups to our music themed lock in. March 21st, from 6 to midnight. There will be music, musicals, video games, and maybe.. Karaoke. See you there. Please bring snacks or drinks to share with the group.

Teen Takeover at the Tea Loft

Teen Takeover at the Urban Tea Loft - Monday March 10th - 5:30-8:00 pm
We're taking over the Tea Loft for an evening of fun, food and friends. We'll have Karaoke, Video Games and a ton of tasty treats. You must register at http:www.chandlerlibrary.org.

Ice skating party

October 13th at 12:30. Cost is 13 dollars, which includes admission, skates, pizza and soda, and room rental fee. We meet inside. Dress warmly. See you there!

Bye bye Sarah

Sarah Tarver leaves town this month for College in Oklahoma. This will be my first year without a Tarver in my Teen Advisory Group. I'm feeling sad, but wishing Sarah the very best of luck as she continues her education. Sarah has been an invaluable help to me over the past years. Bye, Sarah, come and visit soon!

Congratulations go out to Vicki Peng, who has been appointed to the Governor's Youth Commission. Vicki will have the chance to influence what happens to teens in this state. Way to go, Vicki!
